Laurie A. Farricielli, MD
After residency, Dr. Farricielli joined CIGNA HealthCare and became director and chairperson of its urgent care facilities. She worked in Emergency Medicine since 1996. Currently she works as a hospitalist at Scottsdale Shea Hospital. Dr. Farricielli is fluent in Spanish. In 1998, Dr. Farricielli attained certification in hyperbaric medicine and expanded her practice to include wound care and diabetic limb salvage. Additionally, she preceptors medical students at both Midwestern University and Arizona School of Health Sciences. She established and coordinates medical student rotations at general area hospitals. She is currently an adjunct professor at both academic institutions. Dr. Farricielli affiliated with Debra Bergstrom, FNP at Neighborhood Family Practice as an internist in 2006. She hopes to accommodate your urgent and long term needs. Should you need hospitalization, Dr Farricielli has admitting privileges at Scottsdale Shea Hospital. Dr. Farricielli is married, has three children and five grandchildren.

Dr.
Farricielli, board certified in internal medicine, was born and raised in
New Haven, Connecticut and graduated from Southern Connecticut University.
In 1982, after doing graduate work at Yale, she transferred to the
University of Cincinnati doing graduate research in chemistry and
co-authoring two published articles on brain trauma. She earned a
Doctor of Medicine at Northeastern Ohio University of Medicine (NEOUCOM). Dr. Farricielli then relocated to
the Phoenix area, completing an internal medicine residency at St. Joseph’s
Hospital.
